Meet your tutor
Hi, I'm Atharv! 👋
I'm an incoming 8th grader at the Academy for Science and Design in Nashua, New Hampshire — part math nerd, part robot builder, part cricket bowler, and full-time question-asker. I love mathematics, science, robotics and leadership, but my favorite discovery so far? Helping younger kids find out how fun learning can be.
StudySparX started small: one summer, I began tutoring my 5-year-old sister and her friend. Watching them go from “I can't do it” to “wait, let me try!” became the highlight of my week — and I knew I had to share that feeling with more young achievers.
Explaining big ideas in kid-sized ways is kind of my thing. I've spent three years in FIRST LEGO League with Team Creative Bots — two as vice-captain, one as captain — reaching the State Championship three seasons in a row. Along the way I've coached younger robotics students from the Sea Serpents, Team Major and Saucy Blue Box, and volunteered at community events supporting robotics teams and families.
When I'm not teaching, I'm usually experimenting — my science fair project on seed germination won 1st place in Environmental Science — or on the cricket pitch bowling for the CricOne Electrons.

Age 5 — Little Explorers 🌱
- Math: counting adventures, shapes, patterns and “more or less” games
- Science: animals, plants, seasons and simple nature discoveries
- Geography: land vs. water, our first look at the world map
- Reading: letters, phonics sounds and interactive story time
- Play & STEM: building with blocks, sorting games and “I spy” science
Age 6 — Curious Adventurers 🔍
- Math: addition and subtraction fun, number lines and math stories
- Science: safe mini-experiments — sink or float, magnets, shadows
- Geography: the seven continents and five oceans, animal habitats around the world
- Reading: sight words, short books and retelling stories
- Play & STEM: building challenges, mazes and beginner logic puzzles
Age 7 — Problem Solvers 🧩
- Math: two-digit addition/subtraction, intro to multiplication, time and money
- Science: the science of everyday things — weather, matter, simple machines
- Geography: countries, capitals, flags and map-reading games
- Reading: reading comprehension, new vocabulary and fun fact hunts

Age 8 — Young Innovators 🚀

Frequently asked questions
How long is each lesson?
Each lesson is 45 minutes — long enough for real learning, short enough to keep young attention spans happy and engaged.
How much does it cost?
Nothing — lessons are completely free. This is a volunteer community-service program. There are no fees, no payments and no purchases of any kind.
What ages can join?
The program is designed for children ages 5 through 8. Each lesson is tailored to your child's age and pace — see the age guide above.
What subjects are covered?
Math, science, geography, reading & general knowledge, plus educational games and STEM activities. Lessons blend subjects to keep things fun — a geography game might sneak in some math!
What materials does my child need?
Just paper, a pencil and curiosity! If a special activity ever needs anything extra (like craft supplies for a science experiment), we'll let you know well in advance — and it will always be simple household items.
Will an adult be present?
Yes, always. An adult supervisor is present at every lesson, and all communication and scheduling goes through parents or guardians. Parents are welcome to stay for the whole session.
How do I register?
Fill out the registration form (parents/guardians only) and book a time slot on the calendar. You'll get a confirmation email with all the details.
