Math
Numbers, patterns, puzzles and problem-solving β from counting adventures to early multiplication, made playful and hands-on.
Free community tutoring Β· Ages 5β8 Β· Starting August 2026
A free tutoring initiative by Atharv Saraf β¨
Fun, friendly lessons in math, science, geography, reading and STEM β where young kids learn from a slightly older peer who brings a fresh perspective and makes every lesson feel like learning with a friend.
Meet your tutor
I'm an incoming 8th grader at the Academy for Science and Design in Nashua, New Hampshire β part math nerd, part robot builder, part cricket bowler, and full-time question-asker. I love mathematics, science, robotics and leadership, but my favorite discovery so far? Helping younger kids find out how fun learning can be.
StudySparX started small: one summer, I began tutoring my 5-year-old sister and her friend. Watching them go from βI can't do itβ to βwait, let me try!β became the highlight of my week β and I knew I had to share that feeling with more young achievers.
Explaining big ideas in kid-sized ways is kind of my thing. I've spent three years in FIRST LEGO League with Team Creative Bots β two as vice-captain, one as captain β reaching the State Championship three seasons in a row. Along the way I've coached younger robotics students from the Sea Serpents, Team Major and Saucy Blue Box, and volunteered at community events supporting robotics teams and families.
When I'm not teaching, I'm usually experimenting β my science fair project on seed germination won 1st place in Environmental Science β or on the cricket pitch bowling for the CricOne Electrons.
βWhen a young student's eyes light up because something finally clicks β that's the best feeling in the world. That's why I created StudySparX.β
What we'll explore
Every lesson mixes discovery with a lot of fun β explained the way only a slightly older peer can, keeping young minds curious and engaged.
Numbers, patterns, puzzles and problem-solving β from counting adventures to early multiplication, made playful and hands-on.
Safe, simple experiments and βwhy does that happen?β discoveries about nature, weather, space and the science of everyday life.
Continents, oceans, countries, capitals and cultures β exploring our amazing world through maps, games and challenges.
Story time, phonics, vocabulary and fascinating facts β building strong readers and curious thinkers, one page at a time.
Building challenges, logic games, robotics thinking and team activities that make learning feel like play.
Made for every age
Lessons are tailored to each age β always encouraging, always a step ahead.

Join the fun
Registration takes two quick steps and must be completed by a parent or guardian.
StudySparX is a volunteer community-service program. There is no cost, no payment page, and nothing to buy β ever. Atharv created this program to give back to the community and to share his love of learning with the next generation of curious kids.
Your child's safety comes first
All registration and communication must be completed by a parent or guardian β never by the child directly.
An adult supervisor is present at every lesson, and parents are always welcome to stay and watch.
No child's personal information is ever displayed on this website or shared with anyone.
Good to know
Each lesson is 45 minutes β long enough for real learning, short enough to keep young attention spans happy and engaged.
Nothing β lessons are completely free. This is a volunteer community-service program. There are no fees, no payments and no purchases of any kind.
The program is designed for children ages 5 through 8. Each lesson is tailored to your child's age and pace β see the age guide above.
Math, science, geography, reading & general knowledge, plus educational games and STEM activities. Lessons blend subjects to keep things fun β a geography game might sneak in some math!
Just paper, a pencil and curiosity! If a special activity ever needs anything extra (like craft supplies for a science experiment), we'll let you know well in advance β and it will always be simple household items.
Yes, always. An adult supervisor is present at every lesson, and all communication and scheduling goes through parents or guardians. Parents are welcome to stay for the whole session.
Fill out the registration form (parents/guardians only) and book a time slot on the calendar. You'll get a confirmation email with all the details.
Say hello
Parents and guardians can reach the program any time. We'd love to hear from you β whether it's a scheduling question, a learning goal for your child, or just to say hi. Send a note below and we'll reply by email.
